5 Things to keep in mind by creating your Brand

Starting a brand involves many decisions, you have to think of insurance, borrowing money from the bank, devising sales strategies, and also visualizing your brand.

In short, there is a lot on your plate, we have collected 5 points for you that you can brainstorm about in the development of your brand.

1. Be clear in what you do

For some this is easier than others, if you are a florist then everyone understands what you do, but if you are a digital creator it is less clear what exactly you do.

Even though you have a “clear” profession as a florist, show what you specialize in, such as mourning bouquets or for weddings and other events.

Think of corporate culture for your brand with a suitable target group and only focus on that.

2. Choice a target audience

Not everyone can be your ideal customer and customers will not see you as the ideal company, for us finding a target group quite difficult, we immediately thought of expets all over the world. This was a bit too ambitious for us (but still a goal). Our target audience is now expets in Portugal.

Take your time and maybe, like us, you start too high and find your target group in it, but don’t give up if the target group you have chosen is too ambitious. Give your target group time to discover you.

3. Create your Brand colors

Besides having a logo, the colors of your brand are just as important. Test which brand has the color red? You were probably thinking about Coca-Cola or KFC.

To find your brand colors are a few things you can think about, what emotion do I want to give to my customers, how many colors does my brand need? To view the statistics on the right, this can be a guideline for choosing your brand colors.

4. Build an online community

Building an online community is essential in this day, and is only becoming more important for starting and existing companies. Showing yourself online via social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. is completely FREE. (Unless you advertise on one of these social media channels)

By building a community, it is more likely that people will trust you and use your services and or products more quickly, which they will then also share with their community.

5. Give yourself time and accept help

Rome was not built in 1 day and certainly not by 1 person, your brand is your passion and that deserves time and attention. Think carefully about how you want to do your marketing, financing, and so on. Take online quizzes to help you find the right choices. Get inspiration from competitors (don’t copy their ideas, this will come true, and you will appear less reliable).

In addition, it is also important to get help from others, even if it is the opinion of your friends and loved, ones who will honestly say whether they think you have devised a good branding strategy.
